My name is John Hobbs. At the end of 2019 I ended a 50-year career in the information systems business. In the mid-1980s I was Assistant Director of Information Services for the Canadian Division of an international insurance conglomerate.
I started my first entrepreneurial venture in the mid-80s. I ran an international conference that dealt with information resource management theory and practice. It became an annual event from 1986 through 1992.
In 1988 I established my own information management consulting firm (IMSIG Inc.) with a focus on managing information as a corporate resource (not the technology nuts and bolts). My clients were predominantly government organizations.
In 2010 I got involved with a very specialized nutritional supplement business. The impact of their patented nutrient can have a remarkable impact on human health, particularly for those getting older.
And in early 2025 I started an online business that helps people like me who are getting on in years improve their financial situation. We do this through a unique system that helps people get up and running with their own successful business online, regardless of their background and experience.
